Yerba Mate is a great alternative to coffee.
Yerba Mate has been used for centuries in South America
and is really starting to get attention in the United
States as a healthier substitute for coffee. Drinkers
of Yerba Mate usually find they get more of an energy

of the jitters or stomach and other health problems.
Our Yerba Mate has 5 mg of caffeine compared to 137
mg in the same amount of ground coffee and has more
antioxidants than many vegetables, improving your immune
system.
Traditionally Yerba Mate is drank from a gourd.
The gourd is filled 2/3 of the way full with Yerba Mate
leaf and then topped off with hot water. The tea is
then sucked up through a bombilla that blocks the leaf
while letting the tea pass. The gourd is then passed
to the next person who repeats the process. The original
leaf will make many servings.
Yerba Mate tea bags are also available. Each box contains
25 tea bags.
